Besides Shane Wright and Matthew Savoie what other 1C are there?? I feel like Norris would be an elite 2C which and potentially have Pinto be our elite 3C

Nathan Gaucher C would be a good pick in the 1st rd if the Sens end up around 10th to 15th, McKenzie has him at 15th.

TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button’s Analysis:

Big, strong, assertive and with the skill to make a defender's life very challenging. He can dish. He can shoot. He can go around you or through you. Has all the qualities of an imposing top-line centre.

FYI his last name is Gaucher not Gauthier

if MTL finishes bottom 10 they have their 1st...

EDIT: and if Chicago wins the lottery their pick is deferred to 2023... so both teams will probably have their firsts.

Isn't Chicago's only top 2 protected, so CLB could draft 3rd overall?

Jiricek is a good choice for us tbh.

Chabot-Jiricek
Sanderson-JBD
Kleven-Brannstrom

by 2028 that has the makings of a scary defense.

These 2 centers are ranked at #8 & #9 by some sources.

Rutger McGroarty, C, US-NTDP (USHL)

A big-bodied centerman that seems unable to avoid putting up points, McGroarty is FCHockey’s top American in the preliminary ranking (but even that race is tight). He finds open space so well, always presenting himself as a scoring threat. The Nebraska native fights hard to move to the net-front and get open. With the puck, he can be the playmaker as well, showing good vision and hitting teammates with crisp passes and a great scoring chance. He might be the best goal-scorer in the class and if you get the chance to watch him in action, his offensive ability will be hard to miss

Conor Geekie, C, Winnipeg Ice (WHL)

While it looks like Savoie will be the star in Winnipeg, Geekie should be right there with him. After starting last season in the MJHL, Geekie went nearly a point-per-game in the WHL last year. Now entering his draft year, expect him to exceed that mark — especially if he’s on the ice with Savoie. The center brings size and skill to his game; a power forward with an ability to produce at a high level. His ability to control the puck is dominant at times and he’s very much a threat to climb these rankings as the season goes on.

Feel like Lambert would be on our do not draft list based off what was read on Lambert thread. His dad is too involved, Lambert doesn't know how to play that team game and has a mentality compared to Marner. Also he got suspended one game and cost his team a game for flipping the bird at the opposition bench.
