Actually, Ghost for Hamilton would make sense for both teams.
Carolina would get a replacement on the PP, we'd shed $4.5M to use toward Hamilton's new deal.
Problem is you couldn't do this until after the ED, b/c Carolina would have to risk losing Ghost and we'd have to lose one of Sanheim, Myers or Lindblom.
You mean the same Ghost who can't play here, or so we're told. You mean the same Ghost that was waived by this club in one of Schmuck's more questionable moves. So now you're telling us the same Ghost has enough value that he can be used as a trade piece for Hamilton. Come on, the price for Hamilton will be incredibly high and we all know that Ghost won't move the needle, especially when other GMs are the way the organization has completely mishandled him. The Flyers will be lucky if they can move him with retention of any sort because of how badly inept management and a clueless twat waffle of a head coach handled things. And yeah he'll probably go somewhere else, flourish and the Flyers will wonder why he couldn't do it here.

Ghost played 19:56 per game including 2:41 on the PP (most on the defense) and scored at almost 0.5 P/GP. He had a much better season because he wasn't struggling with knee injuries like he did in 19-20.

The cost for Hamilton won't be high b/c you're trading for the rights to give him a contract extension, he's not under contract at a below market rate for an extended period.

What are the options for treatments?

I want to preface this by saying that im not a doctor or neuro, just someone whose dealt with this condition. So what im relaying here is just what ive been told/my understanding, nothing more, nothing less.

Most treatments are purely reactionary, in which case, a lot of times theyre too late for any type of severe migraines. Triptans, for example, cut pain sensors (i think) to basically make the pain go away, but they dont do much for auras/hemipalegic or oculars. They also dont work necessarily for any accompanying nausea, etc.

Preventative medicine is a total crapshoot. Its all about understanding what triggers your migraines, and that changes from person to person. Some people, its bright lights. Others, its the smell of a certain chemical compound. There have been successful treatments using some anti-depressants or blood pressure regulators that help, as well. But the reason that migraines are such a terrible condition is because there really isnt a one size fits all solution. Have a headache? Take Tylenol. Broke your arm? Put it in a cast. Have a Migraine? Well, shit. First you have to identify what caused it, then you can build a treatment plan. But your next migraine could be caused by something completely different. Nevermind the fact that once you've got a severe one, its probably too late.

I think Hamilton is a Ufa. Jones needs to be traded for.

I saw a report on facebook (yes I know) that made me laugh hysterically, they said just to trade for exclusive rights to dougie will cost the flyers konecny+sanhiem lol (not sign and trade, just for the rights)

It never ceases to amaze me how incredibly stupid people are and how brazen they are in flaunting that stupidity.

What will be worse, the incessant whining about how Ghost is/was used while he's here, or the incessant whining about trading him away or losing him in the ED?

Nice to see Sandin given another shot.

Rubtsov is probably a waste of a contract at this point.
Given we could lose a winger in the ED, and Laczynski is coming off a second surgery in a year, there could be room for Ruby to compete at 4C or 4LW.... I like his hockey mind, let's hope he earns a chance.

Our depth is bad, but not that bad. I shudder at the thought of watching Ruby and has complete lack of urgency to do anything with the puck in the offensive zone.

Well, this will be his last chance, hopefully he brings it. I liked his 2-way play in the MemCup, I hope he can do it again at the NHL level.

I have a friend (don't speak to him that often anymore due to life) but was using micro dosing as a way to combat migranes as a preventative measure. Apparently there's a clinical trial going on right now for it as well and should wrap up shortly.

From the people I know who suffer from migranes it can be extremely difficult to pin point what actually caused it to begin with as well.

I think the ship has sailed on Ruby ever being a meaningful offensive contributor in the NHL, but sure, he could focus on becoming a defensive specialist since he seems to be inclined to play that way.

Correct. There are a lot of trials being run constantly, mostly because it's still kind of a medical phenomenon. It affects everyone differently and on different triggers, so its nigh impossible to have a one size fits all solution.

I was never truly able to identify my triggers. I just made lifestyle changes until I found myself in a spot where I wasn't getting them as frequently, or as severely. I used to work with a girl whose triggers were apparently gluten and she had to cut it from her diet. Claims she hasn't had one since she went away from it. Could have just been an adverse symptom of celiac too, I guess? Also possible she was completely bullshitting.
