This idea of a rebuild is f***ing BS.

this isn’t like the 2011-2014 period. The young talent is already there.

Decisions need to be made on Reinhart, and Risto, and on goalie.

Looks like the “new core” hasn’t had their souls crushed yet. They even said they were excited for next season.

Do we want the doom and gloom twins around? More than Eichel this issue may be Sam. If Sam will not sign for more than 1 season, he should be moved. If he is moved, Jack loses his besty and loses his faith in management (if he even has any left). I think the Reinhart contract situation is the first domino.

For the kids...they are entitled to feel miffed if Jack/Sam arent hopeful for the future. Thats not a bad chip on the shoulder to have and would soften the blow of Jack/Sam moving on.

Dahlin/Mitts are the new bestys.

One more on Jack. The next 5 years are his prime. He can define his legacy in the upcoming seasons. Im OK with trading him for a fair and a smart return. Im OK with hardball if a fair/smart return isn't available.

The most depressing part is that we can all understand and sympathize with Eichel and Sam. It’s been a soul-crushing 5 years. It’s actually nice to have a few potential impact players who haven’t had to go through all that...just wish it would rub off on the older guys (you need to win for that to work).
