2021-22 Ice Hockey Schedule - University of Michigan Athletics

Michigan released its full schedule yesterday. Mildly tempted to drop by on October 29/30 when they host Wisconsin. Up the road, the USNTDP will be hosting the Chicago Steel that weekend too. Probably the usual amount of future first rounders on the US squad and Chicago has Adam Fantilli who is an early top 5 guy for 2023.

Looks like he’s not playing?
He play. He isn`t playing in PK(actually playing. 3rd PK pair). And Salavat using 4 pairs of defensemen.
Shakir is on the second PP unit. Play in center of the zone as big body man)

Mukha - 14-53 TOI (second pair result)
Lookin good and more confident. He wasn`t a player you can call "active motor" or "leader" or "initiator" etc. He is learning adult hockey, but he wasnt lookin lost or something like that. Ready enough for KHL, not ready for NHL. He was lookin much better with the puck, that I really like.

Lookin good and more confident. Mukha wasn`t a player FOR NOW, you can call "active motor" or "leader" or "initiator" etc. He is learning adult hockey, but he wasnt lookin lost or something like that. Ready enough for KHL, not ready for NHL.
On the other hand
Misyul was lookin NHL ready or close to be NHL ready for limited role. That was only one game, but he was very confident where he did play(2nd pair, top PK pair). I have questions about his defensive forechecking, he didnt make mistakes, but I think he could play closer. But as a home stand defenseman he made step up. I will not rush to conclusions, but perhaps Misyul has some blue line potential. May be. I am glad that the coaches finally trust him. Apparently. It is much easier to judge the game when a hockey player spends more than 5-6 minutes on the ice.

Shak playing the slot on the PP...interesting

That is interesting. I’m trying to think why they would want a big body, less skill than a forward in that slot. In front of the net I can piece together but why the slot?

Is his main job just to lift sticks and be a decoy? Seems odd unless the team thinks he is a lot more skilled than the general consensus. Even still, you would think a forward would better fit whatever role is there.

Yeah, this is the jump in minutes you really want to see and it’s actually coming around when you would expect it.

He it would have Ben nice if he played more last year, 14 minutes would have been better than -10 or whatever, but it’s the jump to ~20 minutes that really matters. That’s a top four role, so hopefully this continues.

I shouldn’t have abandoned him in the prospect voting lol, do think we have to try to sign him if he’s keeps growing in the KHL.

yap. He wasn’t in my top 15. Now if I compare his actual game with what I saw in the end of last year from another players - he looks better than Bahl. But I saw only Nhl games and some of AHL games of Kevin and try to compare with only one game) so it’s not good comparison)
Today Misyul will play against Bardakov.

I neglected voting in our prospect ranking, but Misyul is in my top 10. There's probably a bit of me overrating him but I do think he has pretty decent NHL potential, like an okay 2nd pairing/strong 3rd pairing player.

It's possible it's more of everyone underrating him, there is always that one prospect that gets lost in the shuffle.
