Yet another gut punch in a season full of them for A’s fans.

There isn’t a person who knew Ray that doesn’t have a good word to say about him today. The game lost a great one.

A's icon Fosse, known for Rose collision, dies

Whoever the f***ing moron at ESPN is who wrote this headline should be tarred and feathered.

He’s known as a 2x champ, 2x all star, multiple gg winner and iconic announcer for the last 35 years. This f***ing hack writer should duck his head in a bucket of water after writing that bullshit.
You're acting as if ESPN knows a damn about the A's

It's definitely a stupid headline and it should read "longtime A's broadcaster," but unless you're an A's fan/live in the bay area you probably knew him as the guy involved in that collision

Which is stupid. Will Buster Posey be known as the guy who got the catcher collision eliminated from baseball, or the 3x champ and all star?

Posey is more of a household name than Fosse was and will make the Hall of Fame. He’s also come back pretty well from that injury.

The headline of that article is pretty tasteless but your bashing of the writer was a bit harsh.

Everyone is more of a household name when they’re playing now versus 30 years ago.

Yeah, I think Fosse is most well known for the Rose collision, I had no idea he was an A's broadcaster for all those years, as other than the Bash Brothers era, the A's don't get a lot of ink in the eastern time zone.
