The Bengals knew that Andy cant consistently stick to the run and dared the Chiefs to run it by dropping 8 into coverage in the 2nd half. They were mauling them on the ground and they didnt stick to it in the 2nd half.

WHODEY fellas! Still can't believe it

Hat's off to the defense for the second half shut down. So refreshing to have guys in stripes that actually show up in the clutch. No doubt a Marvin Lewis team loses that game by 40

Mahomes needs to take some blame in that as well. He should have been checking to way more runs. He didn't have any patience to take what the defense was giving him and routinely forced plays that weren't there

The Bengals in the second half abandoned the zone coverage and went strictly to man to man. It left the front 4 rush the QB with. Simple adjustments like that can turn over a ball game.

Kansas City never adjusted, also the lack of running game came home to roost for the Chiefs.

I agree with you. The playcalling was terrible and Mahomes held onto the ball too long and was inaccurate. He was basically braindead starting with the last play of the 1st half. Their first two plays in ovetime went to Demarcus Robinson.

Definitely didn't help, but even with that they likely would have won the game with a TD at the end of regulation.
Didn’t handle either end well. Romo said with 9 seconds they could get off 3 plays but they would need to be quick on the first 2. Just a poor decision by Reid to have a play where an option is to a guy outside the goal line.
At the end of the game seemed like KC was trying to manage the clock too much. Wanted to score but at the same time not leave time for Cincy. Throwing it away adds 40 seconds back on the clock on second down but leaves the ball inside the 5 vs the 9.

It was as if Reid was overcompensating for past clock management criticism. Sometimes coaches out-think themselves.

I thought it was more the playcalling and Mahomes. He was running around like a chicken with his head cut off. They didn't really bungle the clock. They just couldn't get into the endzone. They had 2nd and goal from the 4 with a 1:26 and the Bengals had 0 TOs left. They went sack for 5 yards then sack fumble for 15 yards. Just an awful sequence of events for a QB that is suppose to be one of the best in the league

They also did some great stuff with disguising their coverages that confused Mahomes. Plus pretty perfect execution on an individual to individual basis

KC should have focused on the ground game, and they would have had a much better chance of winning.

Between people wanting Burrow to win and wanting Mahomes /KC to fail, this does not surprise me.
Interesting ,a few seasons ago neutral fans were cheering for Andy Reed and KC.. Due in part because everyone being sick of Brady.
Now everyone is sick of KC but it has nothing to do with mahomes or Reed ,everyone ...everyone is sick of Jackson and Britney lol . Two clingons have turned a nation against KC. As a Bills fan I had my own reason for pulling for the Natty and these two clowns were just Bonus icing.
Does Mahomes ever take these two clowns say " you two clowns knock it off"

You either die a hero or live long enough to become the villain
