SPHL announces President’s Cup second round schedule​

April 17, 2022

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (April 17, 2022) – The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) on Sunday announced the schedule for the second round, best-of-three series in the 2022 President’s Cup Playoffs:

#2 Huntsville Havoc vs. #8 Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs
Game 1 – Thursday, April 21 at Roanoke – 7:05 pm (EDT)
Game 2 – Saturday, April 23 at Huntsville – 7:00 pm (CDT)
Game 3 – Sunday, April 24 at Huntsville – 5:00 pm (CDT) (if necessary)

#3 Peoria Rivermen vs. #5 Quad City Storm
Game 1 – Wednesday, April 20 at Quad City – 7:10 pm (CDT)
Game 2 – Friday, April 22 at Peoria – 7:15 pm (CDT)
Game 3 – Saturday, April 23 at Peoria – 7:15 pm (CDT) (if necessary) ...

SPHL announces President’s Cup Finals schedule​


April 24, 2022

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (April 23, 2022) – The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) on Saturday announced the schedule for the best-of-five 2022 President’s Cup Finals:

#3 Peoria Rivermen vs. #8 Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs
Game 1 – Thursday, April 28 at Peoria 7:15 pm
Game 2 – Friday, April 29 at Peoria 7:15 pm
Game 3 – Monday, May 2 at Roanoke 7:05 pm
Game 4 – Tuesday, May 3 at Roanoke 7:05 pm (if necessary)
Game 5 – Thursday, May 5 at Peoria 7:15 pm (if necessary)

2022 SPHL Finals start tonight in Peoria. Field Pass Hockey's James Hayes posted this Finals preview, as well as hosting the Rivermen & RYD PbP announcers for this podcast to "discuss each team’s path to the 2022 SPHL Presidents Cup Finals and preview the best of five series between the two teams."

In addition, Roanoke's WDBJ-TV7's Travis Wells offered up this video preview of the matchup. Not to be outdone, the Peoria Journal Star's Dave Eminian provided this unique perspective of the Rivermen's motivations as another championship series looms for the team.
