They were with Laval at the time the list was made. It doesn't mean they're ineligible. Just at the time the list was made, they were in the AHL.

Same thing with Hillis and Poulin. They would be eligible if sent down.

While Laval could clinch their first ever playoff participation tonight, 3R is beginning their playoff run today in their inaugural season.

The game starts at 5:30PM ET (30 minutes from when I write this). It's Game 1 vs. Newfoundland Growlers.

Well the bad news is, the game isn't on TVA Sports 2, despite the guide showing they have it on. I was expecting them to have it despite it being a road game mainly because it's playoffs.

Growlers took the lead 3-2.

Speaking of the two 3R goals, Josh Brook has an assist on both.

Growlers had gone up 4-2, Abbandonato scores to make it 4-3. Assists to St-Amant and Nantel.

So St-Amant and Nantel each have a goal and an assist so far.

They have to avoid the box to win. Also, too many fancy plays. The Lions are clearly an offensive powerhouse but they need to crash the net like they did in the first. Petruzzi was better than Desrosiers.

The Growlers play a very North-South game with sound defensive system and a very good PP. In the first two games, the Lions got frustrated and bad penalties finally killed them. Yesterday, they were trying fancy plays in the first period and NF keep them away from the crease pretty easily. From the second, they start crashing the net and Petruzzi look beatable again. Great game by Nellis who seems to be a playoff warrior. St-Amant played a good physical game too. Shaw and Welsh were the best pairing tonight. Brook was not bad playing with Brodeur, but I'd like to see him jumping in the offense sometime.

Growlers lead the series 3-1. So the Lions need to win this to force a Game 6 or else they'll be eliminated.
