It can't be said enough how much is riding on Kershaw tomorrow (today) after that debacle of a 9th inning for LA. Post-season reputation changing stuff potentially. If he comes up with another meh performance in a pivotal playoff game and the Rays win the game and the series...ohhh boy. But if he comes out and pitches a gem in a win and the Dodgers go onto win the series, it will be change the narrative.

Game 6 is going to be a bullpen game for the Dodgers and we know their bullpen is certainly not one you can trust very much.

Friedman isn't the reason teams aren't spending big money on players. The players union has made way too many concessions on just about every cba since the '95 strike. Next season is the last before the current cba ends which is why players outside or the Betts' and Machado's aren't getting term.

In short, the owners are greedy and cheap. They're more of a cause than anyone.

Yeah this will be one of the most important starts of Kershaw's career obiously. He can either smash the narrative or make it even louder. But luckily for him he's surrounded by such an unreal amount of talent that he can still lose tomorrow and be redeemed much like the Braves series.

If the Rays lose game 5, they could still get by on the game 6 bullpen game.

OTOH..... Glasnow and Morton did not look good in their initial series starts

Still perplexed as to why Taylor charged the ball the way he did. The 1st runner was a giben, concede 3rd to Arozarena.

It's hard to truly quantify baseball momentum.

On the surface, it would be easy to say Tampa has ALL the momentum.

But there have been instances where teams can bounce back from OMG types of losses:

1993- Phillies lose 15-14, but shutout Toronto the next night to force game 6

2005- Astros after THAT Pujols 9th inning HR, the type of thing that can seemingly crush a team....... came back to win game 6

2013- After the obstruction call in game 3, BOS was able to bounceback and win the next 3 games.

Hell, I'll mention more Tampa sports. Lightning in back to back rounds lost potential series clinching double OT games where they arguably outplayed their opponents in sudden death but

Yes, it stings to lose that way- but if you told me after that Corey Perry 2OT goal last month that it would be the Stars' last goal of the season...........

You forgot the 2001 World Series.

Yankees get embarrassed in games 1 and 2. Come back to win 3 in a row in dramatic last-minute fashion.

Then Diamondbacks win 2 in a row to win the series.

Big momentum shifts happened twice in that series.

Despite the result still the greatest WS I've ever watched.

Even if Kenley was backing up the home plate he wasn't stopping the ball. Just look at where the throw was coming from and where the ball was deflected.
