Better to bail than to risk injury. Hopefully, she'll be back in 3 years to claim the center podium.
I’m going by what the commentator suggested. When I watched it it looked like she was spatially fine but just didn’t get any height on her jump, or she bailed mentally as she was jumping. I’m no expert though.

Watched the Men's windsurfer final. A number of competitors were disqualified because they were ahead of the starting line. he screwy thing is that the results page doesn't match the medalists, A craft that shows as 1st isn't a medalist and a DQed racer got the silver. Didn't help that there was no commentary. Just the sounds of the race.

I watched it too. It looked like she lost focus and mistimed the spring in her jump.

Imagine being Sungjae Im or Si Woo Kim, the Korean golfers in the Olympics…if they medal they avoid mandatory military service for their country. If they don’t, well say goodbye to the next 2 years of your career. Now THAT is pressure.

Both will have to shoot the rounds of their lives and hope those in front hold pat or crater if they want to get on the podium.

Found out what happened. I guess "medal race" doesn't mean final. The race took into account the points accumulated over the heats to determine medalists. Yoav Cohen did finish 1st in the race but the points from the heats plus the medal place only got him in 4th place. As well, Thomas Goyard, who jumped the start and was DQed, had a small amount of points accumulated and the 22 points in the medal race wasn't high enough for most of the field to overcome. Very strange for a "final".

I just watched the highlights. She must've had an off day. She was 9th going into that dive. I also noticed that her toes were off the edge of the board. I don't think trying to jump when your feet are like that is good. Very little push and the chance of slipping of the board.
