Sharks have some winnable games coming up. Not good

I doubt it makes that much of a difference really. They have dug themselves a nice hole and a few wins here and there will not stop the teams ahead of them from winning too.

Barring some miracle run, I do not see them moving past 24th overall in the standings, which would still give us a 2nd top 10 pick, something we were not expecting at all when the trade went down and to start the season.

You can't really analyze basement teams in terms of their strength on the ice when they are playing terrible for all intents and purposes.

Any change can be good for them (and potentially bad for us).

When Hertl went down, everyone assumed they'd suck worse, same with Karlsson, but they didn't because it's a change, and when you are playing that badly, any alteration can result in positive results.

You can get any worse than how they were playing.
