Might as well just skip ahead to the part where we have a league-wide playoffs in a bubble

I think it'll happen but not for that reason. I think they will decide to make up these games and the season will go long enough the playoffs will have to be in domed stadiums only. Hopefully the idiocy by the Marlins and Cards players now makes guys on other teams be more careful so that this does not happen anymore

yeah, a bubble for MLB would be difficult due to the roster sizes and how long games can take sometimes

but i don't see any way this season continues much further at this rate. might be a good thing for the A's to save them the embarrassment of missing the expanded playoffs

If the Twins tests come back positive youre basically confirmed to have team to team transmission and then you have to shut her down.

If the Phillies did not have any positives I would say its highly unlikely the Twins will. There were way more Marlins with the virus than Cards

If I'm a player who has already made a bunch of money (let's say >$5 million) and/or someone who currently is in the middle of a lucrative contract, I'm sitting out. There's no financial incentive to play, and it's clear that on a team of 40+ players and staff, all it takes is one guy who has a moment of lapse to not only spread it onto his team, but also the opposition. Just not worth it for the massive headache.

Not unless they went to strip clubs and bars too.

Osuna left tonight's game with some sort of injury. Threw a pinch, didn't grimace but immediately signaled for the trainer. They went to commercial break but I think the announcers said they didn't even discuss to see what's wrong or see if he can still pitch, went straight to the dugout.

Move on without the teams that attend parties and casinos. Go with 2 less teams in the NL.

Season will be cancelled, only a matter of time. Sports will only work in bubble cities with heavy restrictions.

If they don't move it to a bubble, it's gonna be cancelled. You can't expect the players/staff to police themselves.
