I like William Wallinder he’s a LD 6’4
I like him too around #15-20. He might end up as the best of the bunch. The most raw, though.
This draft seems a little different to me it’s deep and talented yet also a lot of very risky players. I would call it deep, talented but raw.
Are there any 6’5 mobile defenseman like Parayko lol
I’ve read Sanderson is an adventure in the D zone as of now. Haven’t watched him, just looked at reports. We'll probably finish around 10th(hopefully). I think we need to take a D. So my choice is Jake Sanderson. Drysdale is gonna go top 5-6. Sanderson is about 6'1", 175 but I think he'll fill out to around 200. He's still pretty lanky. Plays for the USNTDP with decent, not good offensive stats. But that's not his game. He projects to be a top pairing, shutdown specialist. I love the way this kid plays. He lives, eats, and breathes defense. He just loves to play strong defense. He's the son of former nhler Geoff Sanderson, and he definitely learned a thing or two from his dad about skating. This kid is an elite skater, he can move so fluidly in any direction. He can carry the puck through the neutral zone and make a good first pass, but this kid's bread and butter is 1 on 1 play. You just don't beat this kid 1 on 1. He's an absolute monster and a fierce competitor. He'll take the puck away with his stick or the body, he's very balanced in that way, and he has great sense of which is the best play. Very heady, reacts quickly, his gap control is phenomenal. he's pretty good in the corners too. I'm telling you this kid is the next Jaccob Slavin. He'll probably be alright offensively, maybe a 20ish pt. guy. But you're not drafting him for that. He was ranked #9 in McKenzie's midseason list. Hopefully he lasts until 10-12, but he should. I don't see many of the bottom teams wanting a D.
If he's gone, the two next best D are Kaiden Guhle, tall smooth skating physical and likes to jump in the rush. And Braden Schneider, big strong two-way guy but leans more to stay at home game, similar game to Brandon Carlo.
The only way I would go with a F is if Cole Perfetti is still there, but he won't be.

No way. Sanderson is an absolute stud in the d zone. That's all he does is play excellent shutdown defense. I think those reports are way off.
I’m sold. Need to put defense in front of Knight and maybe play like the Devils use to in front of Brodeur! I remember a lot of low scoring games because was always tough to Get through the D and once you did get through Brodeur was there for the save. Limited chances is what a great Goalie and Defense will give the opposition.
20 players picked in the past 3 drafts and none of them played NHL hockey except Tippett. I don't care who they draft at this point. The future is now and fans need playoff hockey more than they need to sit here and talk about drafting. Only thing Mr. Tallon has proved is that he's very underwhelming at drafting. Maybe he'll get a homerun player if he just sets it to auto pick while he goes to drop the kid's off at the pool. I have little to no faith that Dale and his scouting team have the competency to pick the players they think will thrive in the NHL 3 years from now. Current roster tells me they aren't even close to knowing what they need for a championship team

His team is definitely helping Jarvis' numbers, but I think he goes 20-25. He's a solid mid to late 1st guy.
Would be nice to try and trade up into the 1st round with two 2nd's while keeping our 1st and if see he's still available at 24-27th. Or pick him at #16-17 and use the other 1st to draft a D.
Reminds me of Nick Suzuki, very similar junior league numbers, both thrive off their speed and ability to create offense.
Really love this goal for his tenacity to never give up.
Giving anyone young Trocheck flashbacks?
This draft video below done by Huberdeau shows off his skills pretty well.
Needs to add some muscle and keep fine tuning his skating.
Yeah he has silky smooth hands and very heady like Suzuki too.
Here's a vid on Sanderson, I like what I see here too.
I am biased as I've seen him play five times this year with my cousin, but Cole Perfetti is an amazingly skilled hockey player.
