He is 5’9. Scores lots at a low level. His brother is potential exceptional status player. He is local. Heading to college. Seems like a reasonable 4th round pick, disappointed not to have a 2nd or 3rd this draft.

In purgatory
I’ve seen him play live for a bit now, this isn’t that impressive of a pick.

He always seems so slow out there. Great shot but skating is a legit concern. His work ethic is questionable.
When you drill down on prospects in the mid rounds like this, you're inevitably going to see far more warts. Given the dearth of prospects with a scoring pedigree in the system, personally I'm glad to see them try and swing on more risky projects like this.

when you get to this point you are tossing darts at a board. Sounds like this guy will do atleast 3 years in Uni before turning pro. So put a pin in the pick for quite a long time. See how he develops in Uni. Denver is a good program. So, maybe in 2025 we will be looking at this guy in an oiler uniform

He’s pretty much exactly what we need on the wing and that’s a steal getting him there.

Kind of. Holloway is a young 2001. Savoie is an old 2002. They are only about 4 months apart in age.

Yeah but the AJHL stats compared were from a season earlier for Holloway, so I guess Holloway would have been 8 months younger when he put up those AJHL stats compared to Savoie.

Damn did not expect him to drop to us. Not often I still have an opinion on players drafted this late. Great pick.

Winnipeg owns Savoie's rights and his phenom brother is playing there now.

Would be kind of cool if both Holloway and he signed there.

xPT is my marriage of NHLE with Desjardins age Adjustment Research to define draft prospects from 07/08.
it identifies players like debrincitt who had an 79 xPT.
It is expected NHL production at age 22.

It was around the time I presented expected situation avg (xAvg) for 3d situation graph based on team, comp, ZS On Lowetide. Later ruined by others (false results) in 2D form.

C. Savoie, pick #100
Draft -1 Yr= 55 xPT, 23g 32a
Draft yr = 55 xPT, 26g 29a

tullio, pick #128
Draft Yr = 56 xPT, 23g 33a

j. Quinn, pick #8
Draft yr = 59 xPT, 34g 25a

Neighbors, Pick #26
Draft yr = 57 xPT, 19g, 38a

Weisblatt, pick #31
Draft yr = 57 xPT, 20g 37a

Finley, Pick #57
Draft yr = 57 xPT, 19g 38a
