Just to be clear—if a team has listed both signings and UFAs, the UFAs are available for the highest offer? Or are we to presume that UFA signings happen after the draft?Reminder: Pending UFA's should be treated as if they are already under contract by the acquiring team.
UFA's who are listed as UFAs have not been signed by their team and dont dont count towards cap. However, the teams still hold the rights to their own UFA players so if anyone wants to trade for them then it will have to be a market value trade as the buying team will be signing the player anyway so you cant trade low round picks for 'UFA rights'.Just to be clear—if a team has listed both signings and UFAs, the UFAs are available for the highest offer? Is there an agent for RFAs and UFAs?
BREAKING NEWS
Big news on multiple fronts today.
The Wild have announced that star prospect, Kirill Kaprizov, has signed an ELC and will become part of the Minnesota Wild next season.
In addition to this, they have also announced that long time Captain, Mikko Koivu, has decided to retire. At the age of 37, after 15 seasons as a member of the Minnesota Wild, Koivu has decided to finish his NHL career and spend time with his family. We thank Mikko Koivu for all he has done for the organization.
Finally, the Minnesota Wild are pleased to announce the re-signings of 2 RFAs and 2 UFAs
• Luke Kunin - 2 years, 5m (2.5m AAV)
• Jordan Greenway - 2 years, 4.5m (2.25m AAV)
• Alex Galchenyuk - 1 year, 3m
• Carson Soucy - 1 year, 1.5m
I think it’s just honor systemIs there an agent for RFAs and UFAs?
I've tried this before and it just becomes cumbersome. It's basically an honor system, but people WILL call you out on contracts that are below market value. If this happens, you'll be forced to revise, so just be realistic to begin with.Is there an agent for RFAs and UFAs?
The National Hockey League has announced the following:
1. There will be no Draft Lottery. The Detroit Red Wings will select 1st Overall.
2. Each NHL team will be allowed one (1) compliance buyout. This buyout will not count against that team's salary cap.
with the rebuild underway is willing to look at moving key veterans ( Doughty, Kopitar, Brown) who may help put contending teams over the top.
Seems like the Backes deal was a bit of a waste then lol.
All good, I like Kase. We'll probably stay relatively put through out this draft, although feel free to PM me with any offers/ideas.
