Play nice. So far Chuckie hasn't done anything to think he's as scary as the movie Chuckie or the NFL Chuckie.

I still can't believe the Flames bailed on Hamilton so quickly. Wtf was that about.

Most people laughed at the Hurricanes for losing that trade big time, especially after Lindholm's first season. And getting future stud Noah Hanifin?!

I know it didn't work out, but imagine Fox and Hamilton on the same team. Just goes to show that the Hurricanes targeted the right guys. Hamilton alone is worth more than Calgary's package.

Now a good time for this?
ESPN+ - Surveys were conducted over the past two months. Respondents were asked to rank their top 10 players at center, winger, defenseman and goaltender, based on a predetermined list of the top 20-30 players at each position. Players who were ranked in the top 10 on each ballot were given a numerical score -- No. 1 earned 10 points, No. 2 earned 9 points and so on.
There were 10 NHL players surveyed -- seven skaters, three goaltenders. There were 10 people on the hockey operations side surveyed, from coaches to general managers to player personnel executives.

10. Ivan Provorov, Philadelphia Flyers

29 points | Age: 24
The final spot in the top 10 goes to the Flyers' 24-year-old defenseman. Provorov is in his fifth NHL season. He's playing as much as he ever has (25:07 time on ice per game), although his offense and puck possession are a tick down from last season. He hasn't gotten into the Norris conversation yet, but Provorov was ranked in the top 10 on seven ballots in the survey. One NHL general manager had him second overall, his highest ranking. That alone was the difference between Provorov getting the final spot by a slim margin over Brent Burns (27 points). "I'm becoming a bigger and bigger fan of Provorov," said one NHL coach. Apparently he's not alone.

7. Carter Hart, Philadelphia Flyers
59 points | Age: 22
No one is going to say that Hart is having a good season -- especially the Flyers. "Carter is a young guy. He had some success last year. This year, he hasn't played at the same level, there's no question," said Flyers GM Chuck Fletcher. Hart's .871 save percentage and 3.92 goals-against average through 23 games aren't encouraging -- he also has a league-worst minus-18.9 goals saved above average -- but the majority of our voters still believe he has the goods. Five voters had him ranked in their top five, including one veteran goaltender. That was a little too rich for one coach, who had him ninth. "Hart hasn't earned it quite yet," he said. Based on this season, that's probably accurate.

I'd like to see a few players traded for picks, get a haul together for the summer to put a nice package together without having to include too many prospects and some ammo for moving around in this draft. The 1st rd pick should be off limits unless someone offers "a player you can't refuse" because it'll probably be in the #12-15 range, and that's usually a player who can start within 3 years (Farabee, York).

Laughton, Raffl, Gus, Hagg should be on the block.
