Rutherford already wants back in when his contact expires this year. Kind of makes me uneasy...

Rutherford is a finisher, I doubt he’s interested in coming here and I think he would be out of our price range even if there was interest.

If I'm Henry/Susan Samueli, I fire Murray immediately. Name McNab as interim GM and begin vetting candidates with the intention of naming the new GM before the trade deadline. Bring Darryl Sutter more into the fold to aid Eakins for the remainder of the season (alternatively, fire Eakins and name Sutter as interim HC if it's something he'd agree to for the remainder of the season). Replace Eakins in the offseason (wish-list: Gallant, Gronberg, Jalonen, Lambert).
Well, so much for that plan

That sounds like some bullshit.

Calgary/Edmonton radio are always throwing stuff out there. I lean towards not believing but there's definitely a chance that it's true. 70%/30%

I don't think I'm buying that.
Me neither... I have a hard time believing that Murray would have another coaching switch. At least until his next contract extension which I highly doubt as well. But I guess weirder things have happened. I think a move like this would definitely be up in Murray's alley though.

Imagine Sutter coaching this team, if the team could be any more boring to watch.

Don't know what Sicard is referencing there, but i've heard radio in Calgary and it's bad. A lot of throwing mud at the wall. I don't believe it.

I don’t buy that for a second. Bob has shown he’s almost too patient with coaches and in the past has fired guys at least a year after he should have. There’s no way he was considering firing Eakins after only a year and a bit.

Wait... didn't we sign Sutter to be Eakins outlet last year? He would serve as an advisor to Eakins. This move was made by GM Murray to give Eakins every avenue to succeed? I didn't realize Sutter stopped being that advisory role.

Just Firing Eakins is not going to fix the problem. Eakins hasn’t made the best decisions but he has little to work with and the injuries haven’t helped.
