He fights, he scores, and he hits a ton along the wall. Built like a block of concrete and still a teenager. Lots to like here. Hard to believe he's playing against players 10 years older in a full-on professional. Have the Canucks hit a home-run in the draft again?

Really really starting to like this pick more and more and more , wanted Caufield but even tho we have to wait another season I am totally fine with that because we have other great young prospects who can keep his roster spot warm until his arrival in 2021/2022 with players like Lind , Madden , Hoglander , Gadjovich etc.

People get so focused on regular season goals and assists and forget what the playoffs is like. What Pod will bring to our team will be invaluable in a playoff run..toughness, hitting, meanness, big goals. You don't get that with a team full of small scorers. The timing couldn't be better as we are on the brink of our playoff years upcoming and should come into the league fairly mature after 2 years of seasoning in Russia.

The fact we were able to get Hoglander makes it way better we didn't drave Caufield. Don't really like the guys lack strength and speed(imo) to be that small you need one or the other to be an impact NHLer. Podkolzin + Hoglander is better than Caufield + ? Podkolzin is the perfect future LW for Petey

Hoglander is a teenager playing in one of the better men's professional leagues in Europe. Caufield is a good prospect, but playing NCAA Div I hockey. A better comparison than Hoglander-Caufield might be Caufield-Madden.

Yes you are 100% correct as getting both of them is so much better than Caufield and what’s better is Hoglander will play in the NHL first as I strongly believe Caufield goes back for another season in NCAA and yes 100% Godkolzin and Hoglander are better skaters it’s not even close

So Woo hasn't taken a step back offensively, but Zamula is the better option according to his coaches. I guess that's a good thing, right? Kinda?
It's worth noting that Zamula was on a Parayko-like rise and trajectory before his injury. Really remarkable prospect.

I don't know what that means about expectations for Woo, probably throw away any dreams of a top pairing D, but the production in Zamula's absence is reassuring and I wouldn't shut the door on calling it top 4 upside yet.

Looks like Silovs is playing some good hockey right now, but strictly based on shots against night after night, Barrie doesn't seem like a great place to be a developing goaltender.

Watched a bit of the Hitmen game yesterday on Sportsnet. Liked what I saw from Woo. Strong skater with a fluid stride and loves to play the body. I see an NHL player there - not someone who will drive the offence but a guy you can put beside a Hughes or Juolevi to provide stability.

Podfather with the secondary assist for SKA so far through 1 period and Manukyan has gone off injured in his game, looked in agony holding his right arm
