Crack do that to you.
Everyone is always worried about the future, how about the now?
Does it feel like:
1. Stone is the target and the price is too high so Sweeney is waiting it out.
2. Sweeney has the Kovalchuk deal done because Kovalchuk will only waive to Boston.
3. If Stone trade goes through, they can try and sign him or return to the LA trade in the summer.
If this was the case, I'd understand why the Bruins end up with Kovalchuk.
I just keep coming back to everyone on panels and boards saying simply 'the Bruins will have to overpay to get Stone' and 'Ottawa doesn't want to trade within the division' and nothing has ever been said to dispute that.
Imagine Toronto claimed him just to be jerks.
I’d send out the Bruins are planning to offer sheet Marner league wide email 5 seconds later if I was Sweeney
I'm only concerned because its two years in a row. If its a player with term fine but I'm not giving it up for a rental.
He played in StL
I never thought I'd feel so much relief at hearing about an injury for Kevan Miller.
No, Boston sports radio talking ANYTHING but hockey ffs...I NEED hockey talk, I live it. It's a sickness I know.
Sportsnet Central talking about Leafs vs. Bruins..... Leafs can't handle Bruins size/physicality. Panel also feels Bruins will do something...So there's that.
Doug MacLean saying Don Sweeney has to do something cause they have shot at Cup.
Be prepared for a mess then. I'm happy with a retained Kovalchuk as a backup.
I cannot see tweets(at work) . I will be glad when today is over...too stressful for me and the players.
Miller is the new mcquaid, loved by fans, hated by health insurance actuaries
Good, go focus on Stone.
Read his book for a true appreciation of how weird.
Don't be trading Killer. The defense has it on lockdown, no sense messing with that.
Torts is a legend
It does sound like Simmonds is the target with Jaffe commenting on it
This is what Sweeney is up against...Ottawa doesn't really want Stone in the division.. would rather have him go West...hence overpayment will be required...and Sweeney will be criticized if he does...damned if he does, damned if he doesn't..
Ottawa should want to pillage a division rival, that makes no sense.
I'm sure he is a target, but that price needs to come down significantly... He's not worth a first...
Love seeing Marc Savard on Sportsnet
I don't think he'd be criticized about slightly overpaying for a pending UFA that could win the team a cup. Stone would fit this team like a glove.
