The Twins basically gave all their big guns the day off and they STILL scored 10 runs with a backup lineup

I agree that it's a little bit in bad taste overall.

But on another note- **** the Phillies and their arrogant fans who spent all of last spring telling us all how their drunken sailor approach to free agency was gonna render them to be NL version of the Astros.

**** Bryce Harper for chasing big money in a bigger market on a divisional rival.

There is nothing that gladdens my heart more than when MLB offseason braggadaciousness is put to rest.

Like it's really heartwarming to see the underachieving Nats get their umpteenth chance to choke again.

The Nats are a stale, boring rerun.

Credit where credit is due. The Brewers could have just rolled over and died when Yelich was lost for the year. But they buckled down and a massive charge to get back into the fight to the point where they're challenging the Cardinals for the division title.

They probably don't go far without him, but still claps all around.

The three prior times they were in the playoffs, they were division winners. Maybe this time it will be different.

Why is Sportsnet even showing this Cubs-Pirates game? Show us Indians-White Sox. That's the biggest game tonight. The infuriating thing is they often show irrelevant AL games (especially AL East) when there are better and more important NL games being played.

With all due respect to the doubleheader Twins disaster and the Mets sweep, the White Sox may singlehandedly keep the Indians out of the playoffs

A great franchise with great fans that hasn't won a World Series in a bazillion years is going to miss the playoffs, their playoff spot occupied by a Tampa Bay team that could (and is trying to) leave town tomorrow and wouldn't be missed by more than a dozen people. That's just so baseball.
