Kaut reminds me of a smaller Blake Wheeler.

The huge shoulders, big frame, perceivingly “stiff” skating style. The same head tucked into the shoulders style too. The same quick, dynamic passing as well. Quick shooter. Everything with the hands and brain very quick.

That’s the closest comparable for me after observing him today.

Had no idea Tyler Madden existed. After drooling over him 15 minutes into the game and some research i found out he’s John’s son.

This kid looks skilled as hell and Johnny Selke is his old man? Consider him my new prospect crush.

I've always felt if you're gonna get experimental (like Nike does with NCAA football uniforms, especially Oregon) you should do so in the minors (AHL/ECHL). Not in international competitions.

Yes or yes, Jason Robertson is the most underrated draft selected player right now in the prospect world? Holy smokes he is unbelievable.

It really pisses me off that all these teams in the Central are amazing drafters; Nash with Kondelik, Minny with Greenway, and now Robertson with the Stars.

Wheeler is a speedster though, even for his size. Kaut to me is like Jason Williams or a Anze Kopitar-lite. I honestly thought he was the best Czech player today, Necas is flashy AF, but also took two terrible penalties. Kaut was responsible at both ends of the ice, stick always making it tough for opposing teams, physical along the boards, and can get on the scoresheet. Fantastic jack-of-all trades player, but he needs to get faster and keep the puck longer. He is an absurdly good possession player, so I was surprised to see him get rid of the puck so fast.

Eh gawd, Finland is short-handed without exception.

E: Actually, one of the teams is just mandated to be serving a penalty at all times.
