I heard his name announced during pregame and figured he was the coach. Then i saw him on the ice. I bet he's not related though. Otherwise I'd figure him to be a "jr"

What makes me feel old is the Czech coaching staff: Vaclav Varada and Patrik Elias.

The Czech goalie is randomly clapping his stick on the ice when play is away from him and I can't figure out why. It's not expiring penalties, doesn't seem like he's alerting the D to cherry pickers in the o-zone, and doesn't coincide with anything. But every so often he just gives 2 quick claps.
