You are referring to Philippe Paradis?
Unlikely we get that lucky twice. One can always dream, though.

He was traded for Jiri Tlusty though, who was traded to Karpat for Sebastian Aho for 2016-17.You are referring to Philippe Paradis?
Paradis was like 15th. Apparently we had our heart set on Chuck Kobasew, and when Minnesota sniped him 1 pick before us, we were so unprepared we had no idea who to take.
Good times man, good times.
You’re confusing Paradis, who was picked 27th in 2009 with Knyazev, who was selected right after Kobasew in 2001Paradis was like 15th. Apparently we had our heart set on Chuck Kobasew, and when Minnesota sniped him 1 pick before us, we were so unprepared we had no idea who to take.

Pretty sure you're thinking of our other 0 NHL games played bust, Igor Knyazev, that was about a decade earlier.Paradis was like 15th. Apparently we had our heart set on Chuck Kobasew, and when Minnesota sniped him 1 pick before us, we were so unprepared we had no idea who to take.

this draft will be interesting for a number of reasons. i think you're going to really see our new organizational structure take some home run swings considering where we draft. the 25th to 40th spots are notorious for being where the free swingers draft the high upside/high bust rate prospects and to have 3 picks in that range is going to be exciting considering our recent moratorium on draft defense early. nils hoglander would be great for the name. bobby brink might be there. hard to imagine whiffing on all 4 of our picks in the first two rounds. exciting time to be a hurricanes fan.
I am very excited about the possibilities (Pelletier/Fagemo/Puistola or Hoglander/Afanasyev/Beecher or McMichael/Nikolayev/Tracey).this draft will be interesting for a number of reasons. i think you're going to really see our new organizational structure take some home run swings considering where we draft. the 25th to 40th spots are notorious for being where the free swingers draft the high upside/high bust rate prospects and to have 3 picks in that range is going to be exciting considering our recent moratorium on draft defense early
Paradis was taken 27OA in 2009. Kobasew was drafted 8 years prior...
I dont know, he is skipping draft evaluations to celebrate. Doesnt sound like he would fit in with Rod's requirement for work ethic.I think we should try to land that Kakko kid with our 1st.

With the U18, U20 and WHC wins, I'd be worried of such party animal. This guy is motivated for all the wrong reasons.I dont know, he is skipping draft evaluations to celebrate. Doesnt sound like he would fit in with Rod's requirement for work ethic.
Did he lift after those wins? If not, concerns are valid. With the U18, U20 and WHC wins, I'd be worried of such party animal. This guy is motivated for all the wrong reasons.
Does this count?Did he lift after those wins? If not, concerns are valid.
Doesn’t seem heavy enough for RoddieDoes this count?
Yes but he's a tiny boy still and kind of grunting with effort.Doesn’t seem heavy enough for Roddie
It’s filled with Russian and Canadian tears...it’s heavy enough.Doesn’t seem heavy enough for Roddie
