As lousy as skinner has been in terms of scoring, how many teams lose 2 top 6 forwards and dont feel it? I dont think the current level will sustain but not shocked its gone up a little with VO and Jeff back.

Side note, you ever wonder if the evolving hockey guys are annoyed that Tierney profits off their data with pretty uninspired visualizations?

To your first point, indeed. They started to rise again right before Skinner came back, but he has been dangerous albeit unable to finish lately.

As for point 2... every day. :D

'Analytics' guy (probably) looks at ozone start % and labels deployment of player as 'tissue soft'

*Looks at game summary and sees that this pair was matched up against the Giroux-Couts-Jake line for 8+ minutes

Bourne Notebook: Young D-men who have the puck in the...

Here are the top 15 NHL D-men in average time of possession in the offensive zone per game.

1. Roman Josi (54.22 seconds)
2. Quinn Hughes (50.2)
3. Cale Makar (39.9)
4. Kris Letang (38.9)
5. Thomas Chabot (38.7)
6. Rasmus Dahlin (37.8)
7. Alex Pietrangelo (35.7)
8. Erik Karlsson (35.6)
9. Tony DeAngelo (34.9)
10. Morgan Rielly (34.5)
11. John Carlson (33.7)
12. Oscar Klefbom (33.6)
13. Keith Yandle (33.4)
14. Adam Fox (33.2)
15. John Klingberg (32.1)

Even if you think DeAngelo (first played NHL games in 2016-17) and Chabot (2017-18) are stretching the definition here, that’s a chunk of brand-spankin’ new players handling the pill an awful lot in the O-zone for their respective teams.

So this is kind of fun for passing the time by, and I have no idea what goes into it (I haven't spent any time seeing what's under the hood yet).

One of my first instincts was to try out some of our RFAs, when I got to Montour
