First 22 GP for Vasy - 13-8-1 with a .910

Last 22 GP - 19-1-2 with a .931

The Vezina was Vasy's to lose a few seasons ago and he lost it. IMO, it's his to lose again right now.

Lots of guys out there in the running though.

So if you eliminate Vasi’s worst stretch of games, he still doesn’t have as good of stats as Rasks entire season.

But Rask can’t win the award for best goalie Because he hasn’t started as many games because he got elbowed in the head and missed some games.

One has to wonder what the minimum amount of games played has to be for Rask if he has >.935 save percentage at the end of the season while his competitors are in the .920 range. Tim Thomas won his first Vezina with 54 games played when he had .933 save percentage.

So the argument is that on Vas' hot streak he doesn't have as good of a save % as Rask has had all season?

I wouldn't consider 22 games a hot streak, but aside from that, take whatever you want from my stat sharing my man lmao.
You can only control what you can, Tampa's goal support has been off the charts. Rask hasn't allowed more than 2 goals in a game since the start of Tampa's streak (the one that started at Christmas).

Rask, Vas, and even Markstrom all have good claims.

I think Kuemper is a dark horse for it if he comes back from injury looking as good as he did before he went down. He was easily the front-runner for it when he went down and was absolutely carrying Arizona on his back at the time.

Rasks entire seasons stat is 93.2, so better than Vasis hot streak.

Vasi has a 0.940 save percentage during the Lightning 23-2-1 stretch, going 18-0-1 in that time. Pretty damn remarkable, but the Vezina is about the whole season.

I hope Bishop finishes strong and finally gets one.

Vasilevskiy , best claim all things considered
Rask , most consistently excellent
Helle , performing the best with the least.
Markstrom , statistically excellent esp in HD areas.

Its these four.

Yes, we're all very proud of him.
I'm not even a big Rask guy, but statistically there's a big gap that's being ignored. Starts and wins are important for Vezina consideration, but save % is definitely the biggest indicator.

Once again, that's great. I never thought Vasi should win the Vezina, though.

That being said, voters don't agree with me and definitely over-emphasize wins. See: 2019, 2016, etc.
