I'm excited to see Brewster get some minutes. I hope they get through mainly because I want playing time for the squad, however, I'm nervous as to what it would mean if they got a prime fixture. If we drew say Everton or City, they'd be forced to actually field a lineup of starters (or more so than they have)
I have no problem with Klopp not prioritizing the domestic cups, especially this one. This competition is garbage. I think I was reading the French league cancelled their version of this Cup; maybe @Evilo can confirm?

But yeah. This is the first time in 2.5 years that LFC didn’t get a PL team in the draw, so if they can advance with a squad like this, more power to them.

Brighton going incredibly young here outside of Duffy who has seen his minutes go down with the emergence of Burn

Similar to the Europa squad but with Pogba getting some time to get back in shape and Lingard coming in for Gomes and AWB getting the spot over Dalot.

Another good chance for Greenwood to prove himself at the senior level as he moves centrally instead of Rashford and Adreas picks up his spot on the wing.

I'm digging Elliott - Brewster - Jones which is intended to be the youth version of Salah - Firmino - Mane (though I still like Jones better in midfield he's done well on the wing so far this season for the youth squad).

What a fantastic press conference. I hope he stays with Liverpool for a long time.

Hoever has impressed me pretty much every time I've seen him play, except for these first 20 minutes..

Yeah he hasn't been super great so far.

Ox has been pretty meh in general this season as well.

Jones on the other hand looks our most threatening player.

EDIT: Wow what a play by Harvey Elliott though.

Feel for Brewster there. He made a great effort on a terrible pass from Ox and looked like he put it out for the corner IMO.

Jones and Elliott the two best players on the field ATM, nice to see.

Another half where Chong has looked out of his depth on attack.
Yeah I don't think you should have high expectations for him. Always thought he was pretty overrated as a prospect out of the Netherlands even though I know there are some camps that really found him talented.

Yeah I’ve always thought he would be lingard 2.0, but he still needs some so work to get there.

Dalot and Gomes injured apparently, probably would've started like against Astana.

Chong up against a 16 year old RB Matheson. The RB coming out on top so far.

Garner should've started over Fred.

Pogba had United's best chance from Greenwood's cross. Rojo had another headed chance from Pereira's pass.

Yea it's not like he's going against one of those 30 year old lower league vets who have survived on being smart and crafty. He's playing a dude who is way younger than him and is clearly losing.
