If he plays games for the NHL team again this year, so be it. But he cannot under any under circumstance have a role in the NHL for our team next year.

Even if he has 15+ games of .920% goaltending again, it will still only push his numbers up to .903%-.905% for the year just like it did last year. He’s shot. He was shot last year too. He’s been a .903% goalie for over 3 years now.

The obvious candidate is Wood, whose play right now is just absolutely bewildering.

No one would claim Hayden, but I think you're right, there are other reasons to not waive a player.
