If I had to guess, Wild wanted him. He's basically as safe of a pick as Jonas Brodin imo, who was selected at 10.

Safe often implies that they don't have much offense. I think Soderstrom does have a lot of offense to bring.

The draft is a crap shoot. The way it sounds many of the forwards who were thought to go high did not. I'm just glad we did not trade the pick.

I agree. I think he’s going to be a solid pro. He’s going to be a nhl player. Is he signed next year?
