I always assumed the prospect might have some financial issues when this happens. Or the faith the team has on a fast track.

For whatever it's worth, I think I heard he's playing in Europe this season and planning to come to Hershey whenever that season ends.

I think it was Hershey's play by play and communications guy, Zach Fisch, said that the plan was for him to be expected in Hershey next year. Can't find the tweet where he said that though so maybe not.

Didn't see any of the dev camp in person but do not recall anything good or bad on his play. One interesting thing is the first four picks are late birthdays so they could all technically turn pro next year which appears to be what Fehevary is planning on apparently.
