Starting with such a big game is pretty damn terrifying honestly. I'm geared up for it, but a loss (almost) knocks ND out of playoff contention right off the bat.

Not really if Notre Dame can win out. But yeah, not being in a conference could screw them even if they do only have 1 loss depending on how the other P5 conferences shake out.

Does Florida State have a contract that says they always start the season on Labor Day? It's interesting how repetitive these schedules tend to feel year in and year out.

Go Stanford and Cal, I guess. Hopefully USC loses.

That injury looked pretty bad. I wonder if he just lost his eye or detached his retina watching that... Hope that kid is okay but that looked plenty scary and the reaction of the trainers was one of general fear when they turned from the player and were looking around.

You never want to see something like that.

Pat Fitzgerald is a really good coach. Would be interesting to see what he could do at a bigger school, but being at his alma mater is probably the perfect place for him.
