He just turned 20 in May and is in high A ball (Florida State League).

do you know what type of numbers he will have to put up to have an impact as a corner outfielder? The two can't even be compared right now. senzel is going to play a prime position where we don't have anybody who has staked their claim to that position long term.

The only reason Moniak will be a corner outfielder is Herrera, and he's certainly will be a top defender as a corner OF, one reason most corner OFs have to hit is they're subpar defenders (same with 1B). And Moniak should be able to put up Yelich numbers if he becomes the player they thought they were drafting.

2017 (Fansgraph)
Gardiner .778 OPS, above average defense in LF and 4.0 WAR
Betts .803 OPS with top defense in RF, 5.4 WAR
So Moniak only has to put up a slash line of .280/.340/.460/.800 to have real value.

The same applies to Haseley who should also be a plus defensive corner OF.

Exactly. Which is why it's hilarious to me that people string up Phillies management over not hitting on their first round draft picks when in reality no one does, and the majority of times a blue chip prospect is acquired as a raw A guy with promise and develops into a good prospect. Exhibit A) Medina.

No one trades their blue chippers anymore.
