is so true elfin and vv have had some gems this year it seems like every week atleast one of them has a good game. Nola is the cy young righ tnow.

I wish I could believe that, but the lazy voters will go Scherzer.

I'm not sure the voters even know how good he's been.

Good news is the “you have to make the playoffs” cliche will probably be in effect and that’ll hurt Scherzer even if they are extremely lazy.

Ah....that's true. Fingers crossed.

If you look at the NL stats. It's basically a 3 man race, Nola/Scherzer/DeGrom.

Throw Degrom out the window, he's pitched ridiculous, but he has 5 wins, pitcher wins are stupid, but lets face it, they carry a ton of weight.

So at the end of the day right now it's down to Nola/Scherzer, lets see who can keep it going.

Fausto was much better than Roberto, but Roberto had a few good starts in a row in July/August 2014 and the Phillies were able to flip him.

I think he’s behind Scherzer and tight with DeGrom.

Speaking of DeGrom, I almost feel bad for him. He’s dealt 16 innings his last two games with holding under 3 runs and both came to losses aka Hamels treatment.

not a contender with such an inconsistent offense and terrible defense but they are the youngest team in the league and have some very interesting prospects coming over the next few years and a ton of depth on their farm system.

But they should be there till the end and that's going to make for a lot of exciting baseball.

I would still look to trade Franco once they know if they are going to land Machado or not. I think MM should be at 3B if they got him.

MM has publically stated he only wants to play shortstop wherever he goes.

He's played 3B with the Dodgers.

I don't buy the inflexibility after playing 3B for most of his MLB career. Maybe he was trying to max his contract by showcasing SS ability, but he's just shown that he's below average there.

That’s because he didn’t have a choice, he even said he knows if he gets traded he’ll have to play wherever the new team wants him.

But he’s also said he only wants to play SS for the team he decides to sign with this offseason, I’m sure that will be a sticking point in his decision.

Machado said he wants to win a gold glove at both positions. I hate to break it to him...

If he wants to go to the HOF, he should go back to the hot corner. Maybe they can sell him on that.
