Is KConn/Lyubushkin/Capobianco/TMurphy enough to fill the 6&7 D slots and fill in for injuries? My gut tells me yes.
KConn's going UFA and will get paid/land elsewhere. Like Murphy more as a 7 than a 6, Capabianco similar but less than Murphy. Lyub's the big question. Still need a vet RHD.

I like Neal but he's looking for 6x6. Already turned down 5x5 from Vegas.

Also like Perron but I'm skeptical of him coming off a career year.

Also glad to hear Luke Schenn is looking elsewhere. I'd venture from that that we told him he's not coming back.

Yeah, we're not even close to Neal's neighborhood. Perron is a good room guy, from what I understand, a good leader - but likely will be asking more than we can pay him, especially on shorter term.

I thought Murphy played well in the limited games he was in the lineup.

What are the concerns with him stepping into a full time 6d role?

Agreed. But he's a bit undersized and another LHS....Demers is the only RHS.

Would be nice to have RHS/D with a little size/toughness, a potential 2nd PP unit guy and decent speed. A quicker Derek Morris.

I think so, yes.

The team NEEDS 1 more top 6 forward in a bad way. And 1 more top 9 guy.

Dylan DeMelo not QO'd by the Sharks. 3RD option?

Figured they would QO him. I'd be all over that if I'm Chayka. The upgrade from Schenn to DeMelo is like night and day for a Tocchet style team.

Pateryn and Folin are also out there. Pateryn in particular was playing nearly 20 minutes a night for Dallas and was solid. Tocchet has familiarity with Ian Cole and Derrick Pouliot.

Folin would be a good option. Probably would cost the amount Schenn made, at most.

On the stickyboy front, DSP and Kuhnhackl are available. Wouldn't be surprised if the latter gets a two way contract with the Coyotes.

Reider was not extended an offer by LA. Chayka trades of Duclair/Reider not looking shabby.

Contract slots are going to be really tight once the 5 RFAs sign. I think it's very likely we see multiple players traded for one stronger player.
