I think he’ll be a good player but I don’t put him head and shoulders above others like I do Dahlin and Svechnikov.

Im kind of with you. In terms of tiers I think the top 5 is something like:
Dahlin

Svechnikov

Zadina
Boqvist
Hughes

I think his shot is lethal. He might not be the play maker and have the overall game Svech does, but his shot is outstanding.

I like Zadina quite a bit, but I'm not sold on him being a Franchise type player

To be fair, it's basically 3 teams that have won in the last decade so it's not a great sample.

I wouldn’t be surprised if guys like Tkachuk, Wahlstrom and Farabee end up with careers just as good.

I guess more specifically is I would be surprised if any of them ended up with better careers than Svechnikov. But this all means nothing.

3rd overall isn’t historically better at getting you elite players than 4th.
