Rockies win.

After Sunday, they have 7 games at home against the eliminated Phils and Nats. Cards host the Brewers and Cubs (in Chicago). Much tougher.

I don't think the Rockies are dead by any stretch. This can still be fun next weekend.

That is hilarious. The Twins pitcher after a great 11 pitch battle literally on the very next pitch after a strikeout.... throws it away to the backstop.

yeah i think trout will win it

betts is the only other deserving candidate but trout's ahead of him for sure. trout winning MVP's is the only thing angels fans have had to look forward to the past several seasons

Trout for once isn’t even the WAR leader. And has played in fewer games than his other MVP season.

I'm still hoping the Dodgers choke and Rockies take the division. They've had a great 10 days though so we're probably going to have to sit and watch them lose in the playoffs yet again.

A DH who provides no defensive value

Trout leads the AL IN OBP, OPS, and OPS+, A nearly 4 win advantage in WAR. Betts is the only player comparable
The MVP award only goes to great players who have the best teammates. It's a special column on fangraphs that people with the stupid gene are able to access.

At least this year Betts is a good candidate to win. Trout has still been better but the gap is much smaller than the other years. Still sad that it's another season to add to all the others that the best player doesn't go home with the hardware.

Yankees are going to lose another game to the Orioles at home it looks like. I think that is 5 this year at least. A's with a big chance to gain ground!

Cards up big.
