Hope the Braves stay away from Gorman. Seems like too much of a one-dimensional, boom or bust prospect for my liking. Doubt he sticks at 3rd either.

Although the Tigers' highly rated prospects are mostly RHPs and their top C prospect Rogers struggles badly at AA, I really hope they indeed draft Mize tonight instead of Bart. Since each and every evaluator is sky-high on him, Mize seems to good to me to walk on by - even for a strongly-rated catcher.

Remember, the Tigers only have the number one pick because Pablo Sandoval hit a walkoff homer in Game 162 for the Giants.

I have no clue who they'll go for honestly. I just don't want to use a top 10 pick on a player like Gorman. Reminds me a lot of Cody Johnson from 2006.

We can use help all over the board. But I'll take the BPA. Outside of Mize, it seems that it could be any selection of guys depending on who you ask.
Plus I have more faith in the Tigers developing starting pitching than position players.

On MLB network they just showed how TB had 10 of the top 60 picks in the 2011 draft and right now Blake Snell is the only worthwhile player out of that group. That hurts.

Yea, should definitely give up 3 months of pro ball. That's definitely a good idea.
Having the MLB draft in June is like having the NHL draft in December. Shouldn't be done during the season.

Exactly. There's no more ball for these kids to play. Every single HS player would either have to go to college or risk losing a scholarship because they think they're going to hit their bonus demands.
