I'm from the Bay area, and I do root for the Warriors but this is embarrassing for the league. It's an elemination game and Cleveland seemed like they didn't show up. The only good thing about James possibly leaving Cleveland is the Cavs probably won't be going to the finals next year. The bad thing about the Cavs coming West is the real NBA finals will be the western conference final.

Thank God we had a pretty compelling Stanley Cup Final.

Maybe a 1-16 playoff seeding system should come sooner than later. No finals should ever have to end in a sweep.

Only way would be a hard cap that all but prevents elite players from signing for the same team. And that ain’t gonna happen.

It's not even the salary cap. It's just that basketball was never meant for underdogs if it meant having to win 4 games in a series. You can get away with that in hockey and baseball. But not basketball.

I just meant that a hard and low cap would force good players to spread out to a bunch of teams and enforce an artificial parity.

This was one of the most pathetic NBA Finals from what little I saw (basically 6 minutes of game 1 and the last 3 minutes of this game). The nonchalant attitude from both teams compared to the raw emotion in the Stanley Cup finals - I mean I know the circumstances are different but even the very first game of the NBA regular was better than this in every single way.

Here's another viewpoint: take away LeBron and this was like watching the Harlem Globetrotters against the Washington Generals.
