We got Minnesota and Colorado twice each down the final stretch . Win those 4 games and are chances are good . Will have Zuccarello for one of the Minnesota games and possibly one of the colorado games .

We are such an average team. The most average team in the NHL.

That's been the story of the Dallas Stars for many years now. Always good enough to compete, never good enough to be a contender, and never bad enough to get a high lottery pick without luck. Just a decade of mediocrity with a couple outliers seasons of better or worse mixed in. It's been that way for about 5 straight coaches.

Can't wait for the 4-10-1 March record to be added to that.

The March to the Bottom?

As is tradition.

Honestly though:

@ Blues - Loss (good team on the road)
Avalanche - Loss (Avs hot, important game)
Rangers - Win
Blackhawks - OTL (always seem to be close)
@ Sabres - Loss (trap game)
@ Wild - Loss (good team on road)
Knights - Win (home stretch)
Canucks - Win
Panthers - Win
Avalanche - Loss (another important, high-pressure game)
Penguins - Loss (another trap game)
@ Jets- Loss (road trip starting with two great teams? RIP)
@ Flames- Loss
@ Oilers- Loss
@ Canucks- Loss

4-10-1

Avs and Blues both lost tonight in regulation. Stars have a chance on Saturday in St. Louis to pull within 3 points of them for 3rd in the division and pull 3 points away from the Avs

Am I the only one who wants us to lose as much as possible? If this team sneaks into the playoffs we will likely see the same weak ass roster + management for another season.

And then what ? The roster is almost locked in anyway since all the core players have NMC's . Can't even really get a high draft pick anymore anyway . Too many team are just much worse.

Nah that'd be the Oilers and especially the Sens right now. Stars are too meh to generate that.

I would rather be absolutely terrible with a chance for a great player than miss the playoffs and get the 13th pick like the Stars seem to do every year. (Except for Ottawa, they don't even get that this year)

The Oilers have been getting "great" players for more than a decade now. Still haven't become any good.

They have also had some of the dumbest GM's in the league over that time, a random poster from HF could have done a better job at managing that team over Chiarelli.
