I'll give this a shot

Marchand-Krejci-Debrusk
Heinen-JFK-Pasta
Nords-Cave-Donato

I think Marchand would work well to balance Krejci and Debrusk the other two lines are configured primarily around controlling possession and setting up the shooter, although if Heinen could start scoring the second line might work alright.

Not sure what was the point of dressing Kampfer yesterday

I barely saw him in the 2nd half of the game

if Louzan is still around, play him instead. Kid has a nice mix of skills/size

To start
Marchand Cave Pasta (but got a feeling Smith will center this line by the 2nd period)
Debrusk Krejci Heinen
Donato Nordstrom Smith
Wagner Kuraly Backes

Moore McAvoy
Grz Carlo
Krug Louzan

Halak

Krug needs to be demoted to third pairing duties. Play him all kinds of min on the PP but otherwise he is a defensive liability. Feels like most of the goals scored on is when he is on the ice. Team was more solid defensively when he was out

With all the injuries, the team is a mess.

I feel like Cassidy really needs to shake up the lines....IMO, as fun as it is to watch Pasta / Marchand together, we need more balance...so they have to be separated.

Donato Krejci Pasta
Marchand JFK Debrusk
Heinen Cave Backes
Wagner Kuraly Smith

Krug McAvoy
Moore Carlo
Gryz Lauzon

Tuukka

If everyone was healthy...

Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak
Heinen- Krejci - DeBrusk
Donato - JFK - Heinen
Nordstrom/Wagner - Frederic - Backes

^Imagine the physical play of that 4th line?

Waive Acciari

Chara-Carlo
Krug-Moore

when healthy up front...
Marchand-Bergeron-Pasta
Debrusk-Krejci-????
Heinen-JFK-Donato
Nordstrom-Kuraly-Backes

That 3rd line starting to emerge is huge and much needed but the 2nd line wing is still an issue. I guess they could try Backes there for a while, he's playing well lately, but I think they still desperately need a legit top 6 wing and it's probably not coming from within the organization this year.

I still like Kuraly there. I know he is taking some heat but that is a function of too many 4th liners playing right now. Get the proper balance in lines 2 and 3 like last season and a 4th line with Kuraly is more than fine.

Sorry brought this over to the lines thread since I didn't want to derail the JFK thread.

My thought with Frederic vs Kuraly is Frederic can give you what Kuraly does + more of an offensive punch. Maybe you even rotate Kuraly at #4LW or if Frederic struggles, Kuraly slides back in.

I keep trying to come up with lines I would like to see. All I know is I'd like Krejci with Pastrnak, and Marchand with Bergeron. I would like Donato and DeBrusk to complete the top 6 but every time I write it out it doesn't feel right.

Marchand & Bergeron worked pretty well with Bjork last year before he got hurt, so that could potentially be a path they go down assuming Bjork get's healthy. He was playing really well in Providence before getting what's most likely a concussion.

I think assuming he's healthy, this is what I'd roll with as a top 9:

Marchand - Bergeron - Bjork
Debrusk - Krejci - Pastrnak
Heinen - JFK - Donato

If no Bjork, I'd put Marchand & Bergeron with Donato, since they can cover his weaknesses, but they still have a pure shooter on the wing.

4th line is interesting, because they have a ton of options there now.

Donato would need to play his off-wing, but I like the idea of him coming down the right side in a shooting position already.

My main issue with that is the third line. It seems weak defensively.

I'm interested in seeing Bjork up with 63 and 37, though. Very curious.

This is exactly what I want to see. Krejci gets two guys that can play his style of east west game, and Bergy gets two guys who can play and up tempo, in your face game. I think those lines would be really balanced.

Please no more Debrusk Krejci Pasta mix

Its like beating a dead horse. Hasnt worked

Krejci and Pasta alone hasnt work

Marchand or similar player is required

Mazz proposing to keep Marchand Krejci Pasta together and develop that 2nd line with Bergeron

And this is what I have been saying in the past week

actually last season I proposed Marchand Bergeron Krejci and folks were balking at the idea

the bottom line is, Krejci NEEDS to be surrounded with skilled players to utilize every ounce of his game

This is probably not the case for Bergeron and can play with anybody

Do it

Not..... A.... Chance.

Come on folks. Bergeron isn't losing his spot because of injury. Let's stop with this. You know for a fact he's going back with at least Marchy.

With Bergeron healthy,

Donato-Bergeron-Pasternak
Marchand-Krejci-Debrusk
Heinen-JFK-Bjork

I could see moving any of Donato, Heinen, or Bjork within those positions.

I like Krech playing with skilled guys. I do not feel it is punishing Bergy for being hurt but balancing of the lines. Whole getting the most out of the 2 top centers.

DeBrusk - Bergy -Pasta
Marchand - Krech - Senyshyn
