Marchand - Bergeron - Heinen
DeBrusk - Krejci - Johansson
Cehlarik - Coyle - Pastrnak
Kuraly - Acciari - Wagner

Is what I'd like to see them at least try out when all is healthy. Heinen and Pasta can switch places when required but I think that that balances out the lines a bit. Am fully prepared to be force fed Backes and Nordy instead.

Once the CHL season is over and everyone is healthy...

Marchand - Bergeron - Heinen
DeBrusk - Krejci - Pastrnak
Johansson - Coyle - Studnicka
Kuraly - Wagner - Backes/Nordstrom/Acciari

Not sure if Studnicka makes the jump from juniors to NHL, but his confidence is sky high. I also like how dangerous that 3rd line could be if Studnicka can continue his hot play up with Boston.

Nordstrom and Backes on the same line is a recipe for disaster

You have one guy that can go 100mph. The other 50mph (sarcasm)

Its like they are never in the same zone of the ice together
Nordstrom and Backes on any line is a disaster. Nordstrom can skate but he’s an offensive black hole. Backes is Backes. I actually would rather have Backes in the lineup over Nordstrom right now, at least he’s physical.

playoffs should be:

Marchy-Bergy-Pasta
DeBrusk-Krejci-Johansson
Cehlarik-Coyle-Heinen
Wagner-Kuraly-Acciari
Backes/Nordstrom

Gives a lot of flexibility with the RWs to move around. I think we need to roll the super line - it's such a huge advantage.

MAYBE one of Backes/Nordstrom can be on the third if Cehlarik struggles but absolutely not both. Give Coyle a damn chance.

If the Bruins decide to keep Pastrnak with Bergy and Marchy, that is fine....but based on that, I would prefer to give Krejci two legit top-6 wingers, DeBrusk and Johansson, to make sure he has a chance at returning to elite playoff warrior status. Krejci can be a game changer when he goes beast mode. They will need him to do that against TOR and/or Tampa.

Now...the question is, do we try to build something special around Coyle, even if it means splitting up our beloved 4th line? I believe yes. I like the idea of Heinen playing on the 3rd line with a possession king like Coyle. I also think Chris Wagner has shown he can be an effective finisher. Perhaps reuniting former teammates, Coyle and Wagner would bring the best out of their respective games.

This then leaves the Bruins with a tough decision. What to do with the 4th line? David Backes is having a down year by all measures......except for underlying stats, including faceoffs. If you compare Backes to Noel Acciari, however, at face value, there is no question Backes is the more effective player. The only question is...do you take a chance an give Backes the 4th line C role and let his wingers do their best to stretch out the ice? While Backes has trouble moving along the ice, he can still win face-offs, distribute the puck and stick up for his teammates. Karson Kuhlman might even be a better natural fit on the right side...hmmm. What do you guys think?

I would be surprised if Backes isn’t at 3 line RW. This would be my guess

Marchand-Bergeron-Pastrnak
Debrusk-Krejci-Johansson
Heinen-Coyle-Backes
Kuraly-Accairi-Wagner
Nordstrom, Cehlarik

I would prefer Cehlarik on the 3rd and Accairi out and Backes in on the 4th but doubt it will happen.

I do not see Nordy sitting, he is a very good Pk guy, can play up and down the line up and has speed. Rather see him in than Backes, he has earned it more.

ill take another shot at this... been some interesting combos suggested... looking to load up top 3 lines here

Heinen/Bergeron/marchand {split the firepower-Improve the defense here}
pastrnak/krejci/Johansson {will be a soft line but might really light it up firepower}
wagner/coyle/debrusk {need to see if this 3some has chemistry before I put it together in playoffs}
backes/kuhlman/kuraly {I like the kid a lot... and kuraly/backes always have chemistry I find}

my lineup sees Nordstrom become the 13th forward
accari/stempniak would likely be next in depth im guessing
cehlarik can hopefully help providence

I guess wagner/coyle are buddies from back in the day? it might be asking a bit of wagner to score like a 3rd liner but if he can do the banging for coyle/debrusk maybe those 2 would be able to do the scoring? honestly, I don't think debrusk is ideally suited to play with krejci and needs more of a straight ahead center.

id give us the edge 3 out of 4 lines against Toronto with these combos.
and id probably go 2 and 2 against tampa. takes away their main advantage if we can get depth scoring

This right here is what they will start with. Cassidy doesn't trust Cehlarik to not turn over the puck in the neutral zone. Against the Leafs that would be deadly. It sucks because I think he fits well with Coyle and Heinen.
