Off the draw Boucher fires it over the net. cleared out.

Boucher set up perfectly for his circle one timer and its wide far side.

The second unit is out and it's proof of the patchwork quilt the Comets are playing with.

Third mix out with most getting a chance.

Comets back to the PP as Pyatt is tripped breaking in.

Boucher another one timer off the draw blocked.

There's the breakaway for the Devils.

LEIGHTON comes up BIG!

Mceneny one timer stopped.

PP done.

However, Tangradi gets called and the Comets are back to their 3rd PP.

The PP has not been good of late and these gifts while so shorthanded in manpower are critical opportunities.

Comets move the puck so slowly it gives the Defense every chance to line up on them.

There's a good chance with quick movement point to Boucher and he one times a cross ice pass and Jasek one times it on net. That's how they have to move it.

Comets get called on a delayed penalty, but the Devils maintain the puck move it up the ice. Nobody forces anything. they move it around and finally Lappin tips in a shot to give the Devils back the lead.

2-1 Bingo.

Back to back PPs for the Comets come up empty and then Bingo scores 6 on 5.

Boucher a hard shot off the rush and misses the net again. Boucher has missed the net like 10 times already!

Brisebois trips a Devil and it's back to the PK with 3:38 left.

Comets PK is struggling badly. 3 last night and 1 already tonight.

Gaunce a real good short handed effort taking it all the way up the ice to the bottom of the circle and got a shot off being leaned on the whole time.

Kill is over. The devils controlled the puck for at least 90 seconds in the Comets zone moving the puck tic tac toe and thr Comets survived.

But Graham dosen't like success so he decides to test it again by tripping a Devil , and the Comets right back to the PK.

2 good tries. A good save by Leighton and a block by Boucher.

Bancks working hard to bottle the Devils up and the Comets get control of the puck.

Right at the buzzer the Comets have a great short handed chance stopped by a good leg save.

SOG 13-12 Utica

2-period total 23-19 Binghamton.

Just to cast a dark cloud, the Devils have not lost a game all season when leading after 2 periods. In contrast, the Comets when trailing after 2 periods are 4-16-1-1. Not exactly a rosy outlook, but one never knows. They did defeat the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, who were in the same position a couple weeks ago.

Belleville chasing Toronto and Utica are leading Rochester after 2 and Archi has a goal. The Belleville Senators have been hot, hot, hot.

Burkie will be doing the Isles broadcast from Vancouver tonight.

Wow! Between injuries, call-ups and the sickness ravaging the team, tonight's lineup is as tough as night in jail. Littered with PTO's and guys trying to play up in the lineup.

Next couple of weeks might be about 'survival' until players start arriving back from VanCity and the infirmary begins to empty out.

4 Comets at their own blueline trying to clear it out. All of them touch the puck at least once and the puck ends up going back into their zone. That's the kind of puck futility these guys have demonstrated all season. Amazing they have done what they have.
