He's not good
I was surprised to see he was 6 foot 1. He looks like a smaller goalie in net. I thought he was like 5 foot 10.

I don't see anything NHL caliber in him, but I wouldn't completely rule it out.

He's already turning 25 years old this summer and has been nothing special.

I don't think his ceiling was ever as high as Blackwood's. I kind of see him as the next Ken Appleby, who is actually 9 months younger than him.

3 savable goals allowed by Johnson from a recent game

They were all pathetic goals. Even the Sens goalie looked like trash, though maybe that first Pietila goal deflected.
that being said, couldn't you say the same for a lot of goalies? playing devils' advocate, i'm pretty sure we could cherry pick bad games and really bad goals let in by most goalies

Right, but that's where the save percentage comes in. Every goalie allows bad goals from time to time, but he's just letting more in. I never say never, but it's not looking very good for Johnson so far - he's only in the AHL because of the injuries in the organization.

Maybe, but that’s the only game I’ve seen him play, outside of the preseason period he had with us. The numbers are ugly and the eye test was really ugly right there.

With cam we are cherry picking the games he has looked ok. .866sv% and the eye test is backing up he has had a bad season. I would let Cormier get a shot who looked solid in his first appearence in relief of Cam, saving 21/21. Get Cam some rest and see if he can bounce back.

That was his 3rd game in net in the last 4 nights. That's how bad it is right now in Binghamton without a legit back-up.
Sounds like the NHL Devils before they had to pry Blackwood out of Binghamton!:sarcasm:

No goalie is going to thrive in this poorly coached talentless team here. Marty Brodeur in his prime would have a save percentage .800 and gaa 4.50!
