Smith and Ranford were teammates with Kamloops (WHL) from 2009 to 2013 and for a brief stint with the San Antonio Rampage in 2017.

They've both been limited to one NHL game despite posting some 50+ points seasons at the AHL level.

L'Esperance played 31 games (season + playoffs) with the Stars after signing an ATO in late March.

Manitoba Moose captain heads to the KHL. Cormier had been playing for the Atlanta/Winnipeg organisation since turning pro in 2010.

The Acadian forward reached career highs in goals (22), assists (21) and points (43) last season.

Milwaukee Admirals have signed NHL UFA Jérémy Grégoire to a AHL contract


Walker scored 28 points (7-21) in 64 games with the Reign last season.

In addition to the five players drafted, the Sharks have added several other prospects as free agents and confirmed tryout players for the upcoming summer.

Joining NHL contracts Antti Suomela, Vincent Praplan and Lukas Radil are AHL signings Thomas Gregoire, Jeffrey Truchon Viel, Matt Fonteyne, Evan Weinger and Zach Frye.

Looks like Fonteyne, Weinger and Frye are signed to AHL contracts for the upcoming season.
