Vesalainen could be a very nice fit.

Kostin has the injury scares, but I like him just a bit less than Vesalainen
Tippett will be gone
Robertson is overrated IMO
Mittelstadt will be gone
Popugayev would be fine but I prefer Vesalainen
Comtois would also be ok, but I would prefer others

Just realized, with how many Finns I like in this draft (Vesalainen, Heiskanen, Valimaki) you'd think I was half-Finnish and not half-Swedish lol!

With the 14 pick we shouldn't be picking a PF. Guys like Mittelstadt and Tippett aren't real power forwards, they're skilled forwards who are big as are most of the players expected to go top 20. Someone like Kole Lind could make the case to be a PF and picked at 14 if he keeps up his strong postseason play. I just think there's a few PF options in the 2nd and with two picks there we can take a chance on a kid working out, might get the next Brian Hart though.

We're really not so desperate for size that we need to draft only for it. We really need to draft bpa especially since this will be the highest we draft for a while (hopefully).

Should draft BPA. Always. That may be a D like Foote or Valimaki.

Tippett should be gone by 14. Mittlestadt long gone.

Rasmussen and Robertson maybe but I still think that's early. At least that's in the range.

Any or all of Comtois, Vesalainen, Kostin and Popugaev could all fall right out of the 1st round. All had poor seasons. Trading back a bit for Ratcliffe might make some sense.

Can you imagine how pissed people will be if we get a top-3 pick? It would be amazing.

If I'm not mistaken, we have the following picks correct?

Rd 1 - Tampa
Rd 2 - Tampa
Rd 2 - from Toronto (highest 2nd round pick they have)
Rd 3 - Tampa
Rd 6 - Tampa
Rd 6 - from Montreal
Rd 7 - from LA King

And another pick from Los Angeles that nobody knows what the conditions were. Does this pretty much sum it up or am I missing any?

Goalies:
1. Vasilevskiy (NHL)
2. Unknown (NHL) - Currently Budaj (UFA)
1. Unknown (AHL) - Currently McKenna (UFA)
2. Ingram (AHL) - Currently Gudlevskis (RFA)
1. Unknown (ECHL) - Currently Riopel (UFA)
*Others in System - Oldham (NCAA)

I'm thinking we draft another goaltender. Probably in second or third round. If Gudlevskis doesn't want to go back to Europe ... maybe we sign him to a minor league deal to play for the K-Wings in the ECHL. Doubt there is much interest in him from other clubs even at the AHL level.
