Pettersson will be a more valuable player than Vilardi when all is said and done IMO.

Agreed. People who are upset about Vilardi are wrong. People should be upset about missing out on Cody Glass. I CANT BELIEVE THIS

Going to be funny quoting the people who love this pick when we look back and see Vilardi was the better pick.

Gonna be funny watching you as a bitter old man swinging your cain saying "I told you so!!!" When literally anything happens ever.

More I refresh myself on Pettersson, the happier I am about it
Was just a bit hopeful for Vilardi

Petterson is not that bad of a pick.
This team is in rebuilding mode so whatever, welcome to Van.

It isn't a bad pick at all, just a risky one. But listen, if Ehlers wasn't 163lbs, would he have dropped to 9th overall? Same deal here. 6'2, 165lbs. Rail thin.

It's not a safe pick, which people should be happy with.

That has to be exciting for Glass because whoever gets picked after the Canucks is pretty much assured to turn into a superstar.

There is very little to choose between Vilardi and Pettersson and getting irate about this is a bit odd.

Especially if you were high on the smallish but most talented defender in the draft. Not sure how taking the smallest but arguably most talented forward is such a disaster.

The emphasis on speed and skill for the Canucks is real.

George McPhee is short.

Perfect little pet pick. Can parade him and Dahlen around and market them as the next sedins. Neither will be in the league for 2-3 years so all the casual fans can be in love with their potential and likeness to the sedins etc etc.

Yea, I'm surprised Vilardi has fallen this far as well. I wonder if there was something in the interviews that turned teams off?

I'm happy with the Pettersson pick. He's a longer term pick but there's loads of skill there. Probably more than both Vilardi and Glass.

The problem is Glass is much better.

The gold sparkles on that Vegas jersey are awful. Every time I see it looks even worse. Shoulder pad bumps is weird too.
