Mike Wilbon at the end of PTI today predicted the Diamondbacks would score 4 in the first against Hill. They already have 5.

Dylan Bundy with a 1 hit shutout against the reeling Mariners. The Orioles have a good starting pitcher that they developed!

It's nice of the Dodgers to start sucking as soon as the Rockies needed their help.

Edit: I take this post back

Mets backup catcher Kevin Plawecki pitching to and retiring Joey Votto to end an inning is honestly a season highlight.

You mean Twins, Orioles, Astros. :sarcasm:

You have to feel pretty good if you're the Yankees or Sox right now. Unlsss for whatever reason you can win the division on the final day you almost certainly have Sale and Severino for that play in game. Meanwhile, who are you scared of on any of those three teams? Sadly I think Ervin Santana is the most terrifying guy. The Angels have their entire rotation on the DL and Baltimore has nobody consistently good although they do have 5 guys who can go 8 shutout innings on occasion you're more likely to catch them on a night when they go 5 and give up 6 runs

I like the Twins chances the best because they play Detroit and other bad teams a ton, and they can win the play-in game vs the Yankees because Santana is good, but they made a bad move getting rid of Garcia so quickly. Not that he's great, but (assuming Santana is used in the wildcard game), you're opening a best of 5 against the Astros with Colon, Berrios, and Gibson lol

Tanaka will pitch the wild card game. At least he would if the season ended today.

Another laughable performance by Ubaldo Jimenez. Is he really going to be a SP for the Orioles in September?

Seems like just yesterday he threw a no-hitter, was the NL All Star starting pitcher, and almost became a 20 game winner for the Rockies.

Cleveland just rolling. Already 4-0 in the 2nd game of the DH.

Meanwhile the Orioles have scored 5 straight to take a 7-6 lead as the Mariners pitching continues to collapse.
