It'll be a while yet.

Players under NHL contracts cannot sign with a new (AHL, ECHL) team until July 1 (after their contracts expire 6/30, and they aren't QO'd).

In the ECHL, teams submit their protected list (of guys they'd like to re-sign, hold rights to) after the playoffs. Then there's a shuffling of players to satisfy "future consideration" trades.

Can't find any info on AHL dates, timing.

echl date is 15 of june but yeah AHL I really don't know.

Yeah, unless something changes for next season there is no such thing an "AHL entry-level contract".

AHL teams can sign free agents from European leagues or non-draft eligible NCAA players now (heck, NHL teams can too).
