And here comes an early NA power play. A hooking call on Kuznetsov at 1:36. Eichel at left point of PP.
Gaudreau steals puck, streaks out of corner, gets game's first SOG after 3:10. Bobrovsky with the save.
Kulikov shows some wheels skating through neutral zone, gets Russia's first shot after 4:02. Murray flubbed briefly.
Highlight Reel Goal. McDavid blows down the right wing - past Datsyuk - feeds Matthews for the tap-in and the building erupts. 1-0 NA at 5:14.
You have to like how Kulikov pushes in on the play. Snuck in on the fly from point to take the pass. Murray with the save.
Eichel leading a 3-on-1 caught from behind but they still get an on-the-doorstep chance from Larkin that's stopped.
Team NA doing a good job clearing away the rebounds Murray is handing out. So far. Shots are 9-8 for Russia.

You may be right but Gaudreau came from the wing to the middle and tried to take pass from Jack...was idiotic

It was more he never quite got the puck settled. He had a turnover on a pp, made a few nice defensive plays, and had that odd-man chance. Not a tough period other than the turnover.
