Hamels is around for a full year, Darvish is back. Gallo should make big strides.

I get they're stacked, I just see things going wrong in some ways (injuries, underperformance etc), with some bias sprinkled in.

Also, you can't expect a ton out of Darvish. He's made 20-some odd starts in the past two years. Usually the first year after Tj isn't a great one.

The media has overrated the Cubs quite a bit. I'm actually worried now as a Cubs fan that we might not perform as well due to all the pressure from the media. I liked being under the radar. This sucks. Literally ever major media outlet that I've seen make predictions has them as the best record in baseball.

Ading Price obviously helps but they need lot of things to go right. Hanley and Pablo need to have good seasons. Bogaerts needs to break out in a big way. Betts who already broke out needs to take another step. Pedroia needs to stay healthy. Buchholz too.

That's way too many that need to go right IMO.

How do you break out in a major way from hitting .320 with 81 RBIs, as a SS?

More pop to his game. I see Bogaerts as an MVP candidate very soon. He's that good.

Lot of the the value came from his D. He has another level or 2 to go offensively.

He's already in that first division tier of shortstops.
