Prospect Info: 2016 Lightning Development Camp

The Tampa Bay Lightning announced today that the team's annual Development Camp will be held June 28-July 2 at the Brandon Ice Sports Forum. The camp is free and open to the public.

The camp will feature some of the Lightning’s top prospects competing in on and off-ice workouts, skating drills and is expected to culminate with the annual 3-on-3 tournament on Friday and Saturday.

The full schedule and roster will be released at a later date.

So camp starts in two days and I haven't seen a full list of invitees yet. Only saw David Henley as the only invitee. I know we've had some large draft classes lately so maybe they're keeping contracts open for them but we haven't signed an invitee in years, I guess since that one didn't work out they have steered clear.

Because we still hold his rights and this is the only time you can have European league and college route kids here since they're not under contract and won't be a the prospect camp or training camp.

The prospect lineup looks so much more different than last year. Koekkoek / Peca / Drouin / Vermin / Ikonen / Gudslevkis / Wilcox / Vasilevskiy / Blujus / Dotchin and a few others I can't remember off the top of my head all graduated.

*edit, I'm probably thinking rookie tournament. I'm looking at the 2015 press release and Koekkoek, Drouin, others aren't on the camp invite list for 2015. Been to quite a few now so they start to blend together.
